An Informed Community Makes A Better Community
Important Notice… We Need You!
Special Foundation Board Meeting
This Friday, November 15, 2:30 p.m.
at the Community Center & via Zoom
You won’t want to miss this special meeting because…
Resiliency now stands as the 2nd highest priority for Pelican Bay’s Strategic Planning Committee, behind the Community Center.
In response to the last hurricane, the Committee upgraded its priority status to focus on resiliency measures… storm protection for the restaurants, Commons, etc.
Chairman Mike Ruffolo emphasized the importance of residents engaging early in the decision-making process, rather than waiting until the Strategic Planning Committee and the Pelican Bay Foundation are near the final stages.
He stated, “We will be making multi-million dollar investments.”
Since then… members are asking:
How much will the resiliency cost?
Can we afford resiliency and the Community Center at the same time?
How will we pay for all these improvements since there is not enough cash in the Capital Reserves?
Will there be a another special assessment?
Will the Foundation finance the improvements?
The PBPOA is strongly encouraging members to get involved by attending this important meeting—either in person or virtually. This is a key opportunity to learn more about what’s being proposed and to provide valuable input. Your participation can help shape decisions that will impact the Pelican Bay community.
Speak up, your voice matters!
