What Are Your Thoughts About These Results?

Friends and Members,

Below is a link to the results of our survey.  In addition to this PowerPoint presentation, you offered over 335 additional comments that we will share with you as soon as they are compiled into a readable & meaningful format.

Pelican Bay is not in a good place right now.  Our Pelican Bay Foundation (PBF) Board is seriously divided over important issues; there is a lack of simple civility in the preceeding between our Board and the Pelican Bay membership.  There are residents who say that some Board Member and staff actions actually are designed to surpress and even censor meaningful dialogue.

It is important to remember that we are neighbors first; staff is accountable, through our Board of Directors, to the membership.  As residents and members of the Pelican Bay community with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars invested in Pelican Bay, there are some simple expectations that everyone of our owners should and do have: access to a a congenial and accommodating leadership and management, honest elections with absolutely no Board or Management interference, no surpression or censorship of relevant, timely and important information, and decision makers who consider all of the facts with which they are presented before rendering a final decision no matter how much these facts may deviate from some personal opinion or view.It is a privilege to serve Pelican Bay.  There may be a better place to live somewhere on this planet.  But Hurricane Ian or no Hurricane Ian, where could it possibly be?  Our posts are only offered to make Pelican Bay better, not to criticize employees and volunteers who work so hard on our behalf.  Please read our survey results.  Thank you for participating in this exercise.
