Pelican Bay Property Owners Association Annual Meeting Minutes
Thursday April 14, 2022 at 3PM via ZOOM
(Approved as written at the 10/19/23 Annual Meeting)
Roll Call: Board members present: Mark English (President), Hank Rossi (Vice President and Treasurer), Ted Raia ( Director), Beth Schulz (Director) and Nancy Lewis (admin.) along with 92 registered Zoom participants.
Call to Order: President Mark English called the ZOOM meeting to order at 3:03 PM asking all to participate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes of Last Annual Meeting: Hank Rossi, VP, read the business portion of the ZOOM March 11, 2021 Annual Minutes provided prior to the Listen & Learn with John Gandolfo (PBF Chair) and Jim Hoppensteadt. A motion was made and 2nded to accept them as written, all approved.
Presidents Report: Mark English spoke briefly about the PBPOA, our history and mission and stressed the PBPOA meetings are not about the Board, they are about the members, to give YOU a voice. Mark also stated that the PBPOA is seeking new Directors to come onto board.
Treasurer’s Report: Hank Rossi read the treasurers report: We closed 2021 out with a net operating revenue of $1,896.76 for 1st the time in years. Since this Board took over in 2020, Hank advised that the PBPOA cut back on our monthly rent by moving into a smaller, less costly office, utilized more technology (rather than relying on costly USPS mailings) and established better communication.
Total assets are now back at: $159,285.49.

Membership Report: Hank Rossi – We closed 2021 membership out with 718 members, doubling the membership from the previous year with the changes eluded to in the Treasurer’s Report
Community Discussion: Ted Raia, Director, spoke briefly about the following and initiated members comments/questions:
- Covid Impact on last two years
- One Naples Update
- Sidewalk Replacement
- Lake Repairs
- Pickleball
- Sale of Grande Hotel
- Community Center Update
- Change to PBF Documents to allow for property leasing
- Need for more resident participation in PB
New Business:
- Election of New Officers:
Due to time constraints, the Election of Officers under New Business was moved to the PBPOA Executive Board Meeting on April 25th, in the PB office at: 1110 Pine Ridge Rd.
Adjournment: The Zoom meeting ended at 5:15PM
