Six Officers and Board Members were in attendance:  Chairman Michael Fogg, Vice Chairman Joe Chicurel, Denise McLaughlin, Susan O’Brien, Rick Swider and Michael Weir.  Administrator Neil Dorrill, Collier County Staff and PBSD staff were in attendance.  Jim Hoppensteadt was present by telephone as were others.

PBSD 2021 Budget:  Approved by the Collier County Commission.

Sidewalks:  Engineering is 30-40% complete.  Permitting is expected to begin in October, 2020 and will take 4 months followed by bidding which will take another 4 months.  The construction start date is expected to be in the summer of 2021.  The Board voted to proceed with the bidding process.

Water Management, Oakmont Lake:  The biggest problem is erosion on the East side of the Lake.  Design work will cost about $200,000.  A discussion followed about the best approach to solving the Oakmont Lake erosion problem–all at once or just the East side of the lake which is the most in need of repairs.  Mrs. McLaughlin suggested that it might cost less to fix the Lake problems all at once rather than piecemeal.  Mr. Swider offered that the inability to have committee meeting is causing these kinds of issues to be addressed by the entire Board instead of in Committees followed by a recommendation to the Board.  He continued that the responsible committee would develop a plan and present it to the Board.

A discussion about additional space in the Sun Trust Building followed.  The building apparently has been sold to a NY REIT.  The SD is considering and negotiating for 1st floor space.

Financing for long term capital projects:  Chairman Fogg addressed these issues one by one with limited detail.  There appears to be substantial work left to be done before final financial financing decisions can be made.
